As discussed last Friday, everyone interested in all or some of the
activities below should post their availability to this Message. I'll
try to coordinate the responses and create a regular schedule to
accomodate as many as possible.
1) Official Meetings - Let's shoot for bimonthly meetings to conduct
official business and explore new opportunities. Let'e try and stick
with a first and third or a second and fourth routine.
2) Volunteer Tutoring - For those of you interested in putting in
some voluntary service hours for the club, try tutoring. We'll
definitely provide tutoring for introductory and intermediate Macro
and Micro, higher courses pending capability and department approval.
We want to make the tutoring service available on the same day and
time every week, so please indicate when you could participate. And
don't worry: we're looking to rotate tutors every week, so nobody has
to do it fulltime.
3) Reading Group on Intellectual Property Rights with Dr. Holley and
Dr. Reynolds. For those of you interested, we'll try to meet once
every two-three weeks. So far, we're pushing for Friday early
afternoons, no later than 3:30, but it's not set in stone. Please
give me a list of available times during the week you can meet. The
readings for the first meeting will available in the Econ Department.
Please email me if you have any questions about the format.
4) We need volunteers to oversee the Coffee Cup program each week.
Let's all try to take a turn. The event runs from 9:00 - 9:40, but
for those doing set up you'll need to be available at 8:40 to pick up
the supplies and set up the lobby, and for those doing break down,
you'll need to be available at 9:35 to take things back over to Dawson
4.0.
5) Social Calendar. Are there any off-campus activities that might
be fun to do together this semester?
Thanks for the minutes. Bi-monthly (1st and 3rd of the month) meetings
are ok with me. Reading group (friday mornings), I am available to
attend. As for the social calendar, we can team up with Model UN club,
do activities with them, since our interests are somewhat aligned.
More coming soon about off-campus activities.
