They guy arrested for the break in and stealing tires at Firestone was David Robinson, an employee. Records show he has no prior criminal history. Was charged with Simple burglary and Obstruction of Justice because he denied being involved. Obviously he did not know there were cameras in the place that showed him stealing. He drove a van back after work at 10:50 at night and took a panel off one of the roll up doors and came in and stole 4 tires. He is a black male born 2-23-79, 5’11”. Was arrested on 1-25-12 which was yesterday but the theft took place on 1-23-12. . That is what is in the public records.
I talked to the manager. Much bigger story that is not in the public records. The guy was a loyal employee, he thought. So much that the manager, Chris Horner, was letting him use his vehicle. The van used to steal the tires belonged either to Horner or the store. The reason he was using the vehicle is that he had no car. So obviously the tires were to get money. The reason for all this per the manager is that his wife is hooked on drugs and he needed the money for her habit. Everything comes down to stealing and pandering for money for drugs.
I talked to him about what we were trying to do with the Google group. He is on board. I told him I will bring him a flier when we get it up.
He then told me that the apartments that are right across from Chase bank, right behind him, that someone who lives there came to him because their place was broken into and $1,000 worth of tools were stolen. He wanted me to be aware of that.
