Pat Tessier called me about 10:30 this morning. When he went to get in his car he realized someone had gone through them. He checked the other two and all three were gone through last night. At 9 last night he was bathing and heard a noise so loud that he got out of the tub and looked out and saw nothing. He thinks they could have gone through them at that time. (REMEMBER WE HAD RAIN STORMS STARTING 10:30 THAT WERE FLASH FLOODS ALL NIGHT LONG.) I have to think that the breakins did not occur during the flash floods. He called the police. At noon today I was coming home and saw Weber (bicycle cop) meeting with a girl at Mary Jane Hebert apartments on Spanish Town Road. Her car was broken into last night also. She told me she got home at 9:00 and parked the car and just found it was broken into at noon today. She said last week her neighbors was broken into in the same lot. Marie saw a homeless dude in this parking lot this weekend taking dirty clothes to wash in that complex.

Weber was there working that case. He also worked Pat’s this morning. I stopped and talked to both of them. Weber said that there has been a rash of car break ins in the last couple of weeks in both Spanish Town and Beauregard Town. If you go to the city crime map we have 1 posted for Spanish Town (June Peay) and 1 right out of Spanish Town (Rapp or Petroleum but not both) and 5 in the Beauregard Town/ Downtown area. The crime map has more of them in downtown so I am wondering if those in Beauregard Town are not reported? Thomas, can you check with you beat cop about these.

From the girl today, the break in of her neighbors car last week was not reflected on the City crime map. Yesterday Chris and I found out about car breaks ins at Eric Rapps and the Petroleum Office. It appears that only one of those break ins was reported.

Don is out of the country so he can’t find out anything until he is back next Tuesday.
