Capgemini said it has been notified of a legal challenge filed in the
US to block its 1.25 bln usd acquisition of Indian IT outsourcing
company Kanbay, but it plans a vigorous defense and will proceed with
the acquisition with the aim of having it completed early next year.

It said it deems the US lawsuit, which also seeks financial relief, to
be without merit.
The complaint was filed against Capgemini, Kanbay and some of Kanbay's
directors. Capgemini gave no details about the plaintiff.
