Hello,
I try to transform one of our company process flow charts to BPMN as an example/ trial for evaluation of feasibility.
Thanks to the BPMN specification and "by example" PDFs, this works really great, except one challenge.

The process I specify is the "supplier tendering" process, and also includes a black-box view of the customer processes before and after.
Somehow I have to show that part of the "Request for Proposals" process as the customer, several work products (Data Objects) get produced, packed into a "Call for Proposals"/ "Invitation to Tender" (Messages), sent to us (message flow between Activities) and then unpacked.
For sure on our side there are activities to store the received message and also the unpacked data objects, before further processing.

The question I now have is how I can model that these data objects get put into the message and then the same data objects get extracted from there again on our side.

Thanks in Advance,

I am certainly no expert on this stuff, but could you not just use a merging parallel gateway to show all of the elements that get put into the message.. The parallel element would imply that it does not proceed until all incoming branches (conditions) are met. before proceeding to the (message) which you then break out the other side.

Take a look at the order process example on the following link

https://bpmn.visual-paradigm.com/2019/11/28/bpmn-gateways-parallel-splitting-and-merging-example/

Hope it helps.
