FW: COF Poster Proposal Deadline EXTENTED

THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTING THE PROPOSAL FOR YOUR POSTER PRESENTATION HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO FRIDAY, JANUARY 25. Originally the deadline was today, January 11. The Ohio Department of Higher Education (ODHE) just announced this afternoon with the message below that they are extending that deadline by two weeks. This deadline is only for registering your presentation. Your poster does not have to be complete at that time. You are only submitting information such as the title and authors of the presentation and the name of the institution and Choose Ohio First program with which you are affiliated.
If you are a BGSU student, to have your poster printed at no cost, it must be completed by February 6, one week prior to the Showcase. I don’t know the deadline for completion of posters by UT students.
The email message below is forwarded from ODHE and includes the weblinks for both registering your attendance and submitting your poster presentation description information.
I hope that every project is submitting a proposal for at least one poster presentation.
Note that students who are participating in an internship or co-op can also present a poster about that experience. Remember that you can add these presentations to your resumes and often include them in your application for graduate school, professional school, or future jobs. So these presentations will enhance your future opportunities. And you can give the same presentation at multiple events. So take advantage of this opportunity as much as you can.

Dear Choose Ohio First designees,
Due to multiple requests, we have been given permission to extend the deadline to submit a proposal for the Choose Ohio First scholar poster session. Poster proposals are now due on Friday, January 25, 2019. Please encourage your scholars to submit posters on research, class projects or internships/co-op experiences . Any approved poster submission from the showcase can be counted towards your annual reporting per the executed award agreement.
