Be well dressed and ready to help put some beds away for the fall, as well as hear about the growing need for urban agriculturists in food desserts like Toledo. Please watch for Dr. Martin's formal email to the group as well.I'm very excited to see the work that Thomas Jackson does; if you have not heard about his fight with the city about his urban garden, see this attached article.
ONLY UT STUDENTS: To decrease our carbon footprint and to make use of the limited parking available on the street, all UT students should meet in our regular location of the Health and Human Services parking lot just off the north entrance of campus around 8:30am.Please mark on the doodle poll here so we can plan ahead.
This is very important: we will still be meeting at UT BEFORE going to the urban garden, and then meet back on campus for our regular group meeting. There should be little reason why you need to drive just yourself to the garden since we will be back on campus at 11am.
If you would like to attend the lecture, I'm driving the van from UT main campus to the LEC. Just text me at (440) 610-2278 - we will be leaving UT at 6:15pm on the road between Bowman-Oddy and the Performing Arts Center.
