Announcement: Media Policy for Organization

[Bharat Uday Mission - National Executive]

Dear Members of the Mission,

The National Council has discussed and accepted the policy given at the end of this mail for dealing with Media.

The Policy has been drafted with the aim of
* Empowering chapters in getting visibility for their work
* Defining role and responsibility of everyone in interacting with media
* To facilitate projecting the right image of the mission through media

All members are expected to read the policy carefully and follow it with immediate effect.  The spokesperson(s) (as mentioned in the policy) shall be appointed and annouced in due course. To begin with the National Media Committee shall have General Secretary (Vikram Bharat, from Delhi) and Coordinator of Info team  (Saurabh Bharat From Gwalior) as the members. The team can be expanded later.

Media Policy for the Organization

1. Only those Active members, authorized according to this policy are allowed to interact with Media.

2. If media approaches any of the not-authorized members, they shall redirect the media persons to the General Secretary.

3.  In case of any doubts about this policy, decision of National Executive will be final.

National Level Organs

1. General secretary is authorized to represent the organization and interact with media on behalf of BM.

2. If spokesperson(s) is/are appointed by the National Executive, then only the spokesperson(s) apart from General Secretary shall be authorized to represent the organization to the media.

3. The National Media Committee shall help General Secretary and spokespersons.
    

      National Media Committee

Members

1. General Secretary will be the head of the committee.

2. All Spokespersons

3. Coordinator of information Team

4. Maximum 2 more members

         Responsibilities

1. Help chapters and spokesperson(s) to make their interaction smooth with media.

2. Prepare press notes and other documents for media interaction including material for National activities.

Chapter Level Organs  

        Active chapters

1. Chapters can approach to media to get visibility for their activities and only for the issues related to the chapter.

2. Only Secretary and Joint secretary or any active member authorized by Executive of chapter can interact with media on behalf of chapter.

3. No member, unless authorized by National Executive,  is allowed to interact with media on the issues of ideology, organizational policies and issues that are not limited to the chapter.

   Associate chapters

1. All above conditions for active chapter shall apply to associate chapters also.
   

2. In addition permission of General Secretary shall be taken before any interaction with media.
