Primary Report of Foot March in Khagaria, Bihar

We are working hard for Khagaria Experiments. In all indian history it never happened what we are trying to do here. We have got about 1500,000 Rs from villages and we have built a "B" Grade Nursing School of 60 Seats. We got offer from funders for fund for this Project, we refused offered grant of 20 Million Rs and 80 Million Rs. More than 150 rooms/ labs/halls of 700 beds Hospital have been booked by individuals.

We did foot march of 44 days, more than 1000 Kms with average 15-20 persons. In this foot march we visited more than 100 Panchayats and about 500 Villages. We contacted directly/ indirectly more than 700,000 people. We visited more than 30 Schools.
In whole foot march we spent about 45000- 46000 Rs including Jeep Rent, Fuel, Petrol, and all other things including medicines etc. We accepted many RTI cases on various local issues.
For this foot march, we didnt get any fund from any funding agency. In this Foot March, we did not ask for a single penny from villagers. We just discussed with them the concept.

We did this Foot March to form Village Committees to initiate Social Governance System as Practical Model of formation of 21 Institutes. We are not taking any fund from any centralized fund agency (either government or non-government). We are getting offers of Multi Million Rs from local politicians to become enter in Governing Body of Institutes but we are refusing them.

We are forming Local Village Committees, these local village committees will collect contribution from their villages each month from each member of village minimum 1 Rs per month per member. After collecting monthly contribution the local village committees will send their representative to the construction site and there they will decide that where their contribution should be utilized.

In some Panchayats, Local Village Committees have been formed and in others the process is going on. Local Team members will go to each Panchayat and will spend 3-7 days there to have detail discussion to form Local Village Committees.

The Governance and Ownership of these institutes are of Local Village Communities. To improve primary education and 10+2 education, we are trying to have relation with local schools to improve them by having understanding of local needs.

Because we want to start B Grade Nursing School session this year from July/ August and we have completed Academic Building but Hostel is still incomplete and Approval Authorities are saying that we will give you approval after hostel. We want to finish hostel as soon as possible.

We are not accepting any Grant or Fund from any centralized funding system for this Conceptual Project. Detailed report will be published soon.
