Subject: A Seminar on Recent Education Policies
To:

Hi Friends,

Our government is hell bent on revolutionizing the Education Sector. And guess who gave them the idea of revolution - private school owners!

There was a Birla Ambani report “A Policy Framework for Reforms in Education” in 2000 which demanded from government that Education be made a ‘commodity’ on which ‘market rules’ should apply! Gone are the days when education used to be a government responsibility. It is now just another resource for earning profit.

This policy framework directs the government to make investment in education profitable.

And that is precisely why Jr KG admission donations are Rs. 40,000 today! While till a few years back good quality Engineering used to happen in this price.

Recently Govt of Maharashtra has declared to raise the fees of all government run Medical Colleges from Rs. 18,000 a year to R. 40,000 a year!

More on this in a unique seminar whose details follow…

Please take out time from your busy schedules for this very important discussion.

PS: A group of socially concerned citizens meets every Sunday (4 to 7 pm) near Nal Stop to discuss these issues and plan public awareness campaigns. You are free to join in. Contact me for details.
