  • Concept and ideas behind BM were explained to the new members
  • A core group was formed to oversee and several smaller groups were formed to concentrate on each separate activity
  • Bala Mandir Group: Is conducting craft/Patriotism classes every Sunday
  • Organ Donation Group: Awareness session specially for BM members to be attended interested members on the 15th of June at MOHAN foundation.
  • Blood Donation Camp to be organized with the help of Lions' Blood Bank on 24.06.2006
  • School Activity Group: To identify three schools to conduct a pilot program on national awareness through Quiz, Essay, Skit and Music Competitions
  • School Activity Group: Books about India to be distributed among the school children to be identified.
  • Community Activity Group: To identify an area to start adult education, computer training and community movie programs
  • BM Library project: Pilot study to be conducted at Bala Mandir and to be expanded to 6-10 homes if successful
  • Finance Committee: Monthly fees were collected, to open bank account this month, to look for sources of funding for the above projects, to approach BM_USA for funding
  • BM Chennai Web Page launched on the main BM Website
  • Vijay/Surendran will represent the Chennai chapter apart from Gyanji at the National Executives meet at Jaipur

Minutes:
1.     welcome of the new members and introductory session
2.     discussion on various activities that can be carried out.
3.     shortlisting of 2 activities: blood group identification drive and tree plantation
4.     membership forms filled by all the members, wherein we get all the details of the members including past experience in social work.
5.     committees for the 2 activities:
a.     tree plantation: ashish, nupur, rashmi, supriya, manasi, madhur, sneha, chitkala, shrinivas, rahul, purva
b.     blood grp identification: pranav, rahul, upendra, dr. yashpal, dr. umesh, dr. lilavati, dr. tushar
6.     formation of committees according to work nature:
a.     propagation (coor – supriya)
b.     projects (coor - ms. Sujata)
c.     finance (coor – pranav)
d.     fund raising( coor not decided)
e.     policy research and training and development (coor not decided)
f.     website (coor – upendra)
7.     the different teams then separated to prepare their plan of actions (INDIVIDUAL TEAM COOR TO PUT UP THE DETAILS ON THE BM NASHIK GRP)
8.     collection of monthly contributions from members. Receipts given to all.
9.     the tree plantation project given top priority, and work will commence soon.
10.     next meeting decided on 18th June'06 (Sunday), same place but at 4 pm.
11.     national anthem

1). election of constituent assembly member

Members Present:

Discussions and decisions:
1). As very few members are present the proper election did not happen but as the name is to be suggested before 5 may so the present member selected Saurabh as constituent assembly member.
2). Finance updated.
3). ground work:
     as still no proper ground work is started by gwalior chapter (except a large
     protest against reservation with youth for equality.) so a long discussion
     happen on this topic and finally decided two activities to be started first.
  a). EVERY DOOR MISSION:
      Under this mission the members of BM will go to every house of the city.
      then will take a whole information about the family (eg: no of members, their
      ages, education , sources of income etc.) after than we will describe what
      BM is and what is its ideologies. Then we will fill a special form pertaining
      to their problems under 2 headings: 1)personal and local problems 2) Social
      and country problems.
      This mission will fulfill following aims:
    1. This will take BM to every house.
    2. This will help us to rule out the real problems at local level and at national
        level separately.
 b).  MISSION SHIKSHA :
     Under this we are going to start a open school for children where we not only
     educate them but also give the moral and patriotic oriented education. Here
     we mainly emphasize on the children associated with child labour.
 
NOTE: Here we are going to announce that the members please attend the meetings sincerely.
