I appreciate the sincerity of the moderators and their forthright
comment to this thread.
It is tough organising such *brick and mortar* issues if we are spread
all over the globe - *as we are*
However as I mentioned earlier good e books can be shared using one or
more methods
1. Some can be added to G mail as attachments and posted here
2. some can be sent to a special purposes google group created for this
purpose
3. We can try http://yousendit.com
4. Later we can think of hosting etc..

I see the point that you are making here. I will try to start this
activity at Delhi.
I will also try to start it on internet with Vinayakji's help.
Another point: If someone wants to take the Public Library's web portal
development task, I would be willing to guide and fund it. Any takers?
