Hope you’re well! BMC was invited to give testimony at a hearing the Attorney General (AG) is having tomorrow about police violence at protests.
Much love to Kabir, will be giving the testimony at a hearing tomorrow! Patrick & I supported Kabir on drafting and editing. Check it out (attached!).
We closed the testimony by highlighting what AG Tish James has done to keep political prisoner Jalil Muntaqim imprisoned despite his being granted freedom several weeks ago. Monifa/MXGM has been doing some great work to lift up that injustice and it didn’t feel right to testify without at least naming it.
Sabine, can you get the testimony up on our website and share some pull quotes on sm after Kabir testifies?
