Hi everyone,

Hope you all have been well this summer—especially as you’ve been kicking fundraising ass with all our August house parties!

I’m writing to remind you that we have a board meeting next Saturday, September 21 from 11am-2pm. Location TBD, possibly BMC. Please confirm by this Wed 9/11 that you can make it!

We’re still fleshing out the agenda, but it’s looking like it’ll include an accounting of house parties, an end-of-fiscal-year fundraising push before September 30, and an orientation to FY’20 fundraising plans.

Mark will be in touch this week about the FY’20 budget, so please look out for that email!

Hey folks. As promised, here is a preview of the proposed 2019-20120 budget. Please take a look and make comments. We are going to the Fund for the City (our fiscal sponsor) tomorrow to discuss this, so stay tuned for developments. 

Obviously, we need to have a conversation to go over the assumptions here. The most important thing to know is that the M4BL money is a large chunk coming from OSF, but only $25k will go towards our own operational expenses. The rest will be a pass-through to other organizations and actives around the M4BL Black Freedom project that we are working with other organization on. 

Also, as far as revenue, the grants on the “budget" tab are pretty much committed. The second tab offers a break down on prospective grants that are weighted according to probability.
