Hey folks—sharing two time-sensitive events. One is a political education opportunity by the In Our Names Network around police violence and the other is a march against gun violence, related to the killing of Davell Gardner, the 1yo baby who was tragically shot in Bed-Stuy this weekend.

I’m still out til tmrw, but if you plan to support the march or join the gathering, please lmk so I can flag for the organizers in the a.m.

Much love,
Anthonine

The In Our Names Network is gathering!

Formed at the 2016 Allied Media Conference, reborn at the Highlander Center in 2018, the In Our Names Network is meeting this moment with a Network Gathering during the 2020 Virtual Allied Media Conference.

Over the next two weeks we'll be holding four sessions highlighting the work of over 20 network members working to end police violence against Black women, girls, trans and gender nonconforming folks:
- July 15th from 7-9 pm ET: Mental Health Responses
- July 16 from 6 - 8 pm ET: Building Safety for Black Trans Women
- July 20 from 6 - 8 pm ET: Police Sexual Violence and #PoliceFreeSchools
- July 23 from 11:30 ET - 3:30 ET: We'll close out the series with a half day online gathering where we will talk about our work to demand #JusticeforBreonna #DefundPolice #AbolishICE #PoliceFreeSchools and ensure #BlackTransLivesMatter #BlackWomenMatter, and how you can get involved in the network!

REGISTER TODAY at bit.ly/inournames2020 - space is limited.

THIS SPACE IS FOR BLACK LED OR CENTERED INDIVIDUALS AND ORGANIZATIONS WORKING TO END POLICE VIOLENCE AGAINST BLACK WOMEN, GIRLS, TRANS & GENDER NONCONFORMING PEOPLE.
