dear all,

happy dassara. we hope that you are all enjoying the warm weather.

we have a couple more days for our festival of india. kindly send a
reminder email to your respective organizations and friends to attend
the festival and also participate in the parade. only people wearing
traditional indian clothing can participate in the parade.

i'm sending a reminder and requesting you all please come to ISU's
quad at 5.00 pm tomorrow for rehearsal.
please park at the bone student center lot and at meters only.

we will rehearse the parade + bride and groom show + items during the
cultural program.

STATE'S DISPLAY : on the day of the festival please arrive at 10:30 am
to set up the state display.

8 feet tables will be provided, name of state in english and regional script.
use a trifold poster board to display images.
handicrafts, textile design, artifacts, paintings can be displayed.
you need at least 1 volunteer to man the table at all time, perhaps
people can take turns.

PARADE :
people will hold state banners (mcia will provide).
dress up in regional attire.
brides and grooms from each state.
dress up as freedom fighters/national heros/poets, etc.

BRIDE & GROOM SHOW :
dress up as bride and groom from your state and participate in the
parade, and special show during the cultural program.

CULTURAL PROGRAM :
a regional item from each state.
