getInitialStats() requires that "avgpendingperuser" measure is provided. Does "pending" refers to invitation sent or invitation received?

Pending refers to the number of invitations a member has received. Note, if your populateDB file specifies confperc=1, your avgpendingperuser count should be 0 after you populate your data store.
