We are currently working on a Redis BGClient.  It is to be deployed in a main memory configuration to augment a persistent data store, i.e., uses LRU to manage the content of the cache.  Work on Redis BGClients that provide persistence is a future extension.  The USC database lab welcomes financial support to carry out this research.  Please contact me (sha...@usc.edu) for details.
