According to the slides for the assignment, -stats calls the following functions: 

queryConfirmedFriendshipIds(), queryPendingFriendshipIds(), getCreatedResources() and getInitialStats()

For me only getInitialStats() is being called. 

According to the javadoc, the other three functions are called during benchmarking, by providing the argument -t. Are we supposed to test that as well for part2?

No, that is fine. As long as you are able to load your database and verify that the loaded data is correct (in getInitialStats()) that will be fine for Part 2. Those functions will be called in Part 3 though.
