The Folk Arts Center of New England is excited to present the 37th annual
BALKAN MUSIC NIGHT
The basics:
WHEN: Saturday, February 28, 2026, 6:00 pm – 12:00 am
WHERE: Arts at the Armory, 191 Highland Ave, Somerville, MA
WHAT: As always, we bring together hundreds of Balkan music and dance enthusiasts and a fabulous roster of Balkan+ musicians, for one extraordinarily bountiful night of dancing in the spacious Dance Hall and listening pleasure in the Kafana.
WHO: Our amazing lineup!
* Beth Bahia Cohen Turkish Music Ensemble (traditional Turkish folk music)
* Boston Lykeion Ellinidon Dance Troupe (Greek dances)
* Hinterlands (Ben Russell Matt Schreiber present Balkan and Romani music)
* Iveria (Georgian polyphonic music)
* Kavala Brass Band (music from Northern Greece)
* Ludo Mlado Bulgarian Dancers
* Niva (Macedonian roots (izvoren) music)
* Orkestar Banitsa (Balkan dance music)
* Pontic Firebird (Greek Pontic dance music)
* REVMA (dance music of Greece)
* Romaniacs (Romanian music for listening)
* Lubomir Smilenov (Bulgarian music for dancing)
* members of the Yale Slavic Chorus (Balkan choral music)
* Zlatne Uste Balkan Brass Band

HOW MUCH: Tickets are $42 to $20 (discounts for advance purchase, FAC members, age <30, family cap)

>> Horo na Pesen (dance to audience singing)!

>> Beer, wine, small plates, & snacks available for purchase at the bar.
