Fourth Annual
OCCIDENTAL WORLD MUSIC AND DANCE FESTIVAL
Saturday May 30, 10AM to 9PM
Occidental Center for the Arts, western Sonoma county
Inspired by Lark Camp, this amazing event is in its fourth year,
once again featuring more than 50 instructional workshops, jam
sessions, instructor performances, kids' activities and more - all
followed by and evening concert of Albanian and northern Greek music
with Dodona....!
* Balkan-oriented Performances:
Gradina (amphitheater, 4:00-4:45)
Dodona - EVENING CONCERT (separate tickets for just the evening
concert will be available)
* Balkan-oriented workshops: (schedule will be updated on website
soon):
Balkan Drumming - Sean Tergis (11:15-12:15)
Zithers from around the World - Ken Genetti (11:45-12:15)
Balkan Dance - Sue Williard (with live music 1:30-2:30)
Balkan Singing - Darina Drapkin (2:45-3:45)
There will be a special performance of Armenian music by Khatch
Khatchadourian in the Auditorium around 12:45.
Jason Cool will be there
with his musical instrument library. Lunch and dinner will be
available, and there is a coffeehouse.
There will be a jamming area and an instrument check. Easy Parking.
Adults/General Admission:
$75 through May 29
$80 at the gate
1/2 price for teens 13-17
Children 12 and under FREE (with accompanying adult)
