Dear Friends,
This has been a long day for the Gandy family. We would like to thank you in their name for your support and prayers at this time. From early morning until around 4pm there was next to no information available and when some finally did arrive, it was hardly conclusive nor did it bring much relief.
In summary the news from today:
Keith remains in intensive care at the University clinic in Frankfurt
He has now largely regained consciousness, is breathing without support and is reacting to people around him
In the coming days further tests will be made. In particular for motor skills and by a speech therapist
Important to note is that Keith will be out of action for some considerable time. First indications suggest that he will remain in intensive care for at least a week, after which he will be transferred to a different unit within the clinic. He is expected to remain there for between 4-6 weeks. During this time we are asked to refrain from visiting Keith (initially no visitors will be admitted anyhow).
The family has expressly asked for friends and acquaintances to direct information requests regarding Keith to the church and not to individual family members direct. This is a simple way in which we can express our support and love to the family. We ask you to direct any such requests to us either by sending a message via the BGAB facebook page or by using the following email address – con...@bgab.de.
We would again take this opportunity to thank you for all your support and prayers at this difficult time.
