Two very prominant literary personalities of Urdu have passed away during this week. Janab Zakir Ali Khan (prose writer in the tradition of Rasheed Ahmad Siddiqi) and Shahryar : Gayan Peeth award recipient (highest literary award of Award. Only 3 other Urdu writers received this award. Firaq Gorakhpuri, Quratul Ain Hyder and Ali Sardar Jafri). It was brought to my attention that my previous email address of a.h.n...@hotmail.com, may have caused many of you to revieve spams, viruses, and some very unappealing emails that were not sent under my power. My email address had been hacked and had been sending many of my friends and family links that would essentially devestate their daily computer function. So I have opened a brand new email address and account under a more safe and capable email program, Gmail. I have also recieved a brand new computer with Windows 7 anti-virus security, from which I am emailing you all from, due to the viruses my old computer had recieved courtesy from the "Hacker". If you were one of the victims of the Hacker's many links, I would like to apologize, for it has never been my intent to send you all viruses. The next Soul meeting will be held Sunday February 26th at 1:29 pm at Pohick Regional Library 6450 Sydenstricker Rd Burke, Virginia 22015.

 

Here is the forum for Fubruary 26th:

 

•  Dr. Syed Amir Alig will precide with talking about those episodes of Sir syed ahmed Khan which are very impressive.
• Amna Piracha, a senior highschool student will read a story.
• Abul Hasan Naghmi will be talking about memory improvement with many jokes of absent minded people.
• Mr. Obaed Rehman will read his paper about the journey of Sir Syed Ahmed Khan to London "Musafiran-e-London".
•  Dr. Abdullah will remember those wonderful days which he spent at Muslim University Aligarh.
•  Mr. Akmal Aleemi, the well known journalist and broadcaster will talk about Lahore in the winter days.
• Noor Naghmi the distinguished actor and broadcaster will read the masterpiece by Sadat Hasan Manto, "Toba take Singh".
• The popular urdu poet, Abdul Rehman Siddiqi will be honored as the POET OF THE MONTH

As you know we are very particular about being prompt to the meeting. If it says the meeting will be held at 1:29 pm, WE MEAN IT! For as you know we have a very deep respect for your time.

We cant wait to see you all there!
