We're polishing off some upgrades for which I thought the group might
want to see some pictures. They'll be added to the "Files" section,
assuming I can figure out how to upload the pix. Essentially:

1. We added a second fuel tank on the centerline behind the rudder
post (37 gallons).

2. We added the Filterboss system in the starboard cockpit
lazerette. Some of the pix here also show where our Northern Lights
genset in a soundshield is installed, as we took the liferaft locker
out as part of the fuel tank installation (I know others had inquired
about the location of genset install).

3. We moved the air conditioning raw water intake through hull a
little forward so that it is somewhat under the a/c pump, thereby not
in the way when you stand in that bilge compartment. Likewise, we
used a flange adaptor for the fitting so as to have a proper seacock
installation here.

4. We also moved the through hull for the saltwater washdown from the
base of the stairs in the forward deck locker (not sure what Beneteau
was thinking by putting a through hull and valve at the base of a
ladder). We put the new through hull, and proper seacock
installation, under the sink in the forward head and ran the hose
forward. We also moved the pump to be under the forward berth, rather
than in the forward deck locker, though I didn't think to take a
picture of this; if anyone is interested, I can take a picture of
where we reinstalled the saltwater washdown pump.

5. We moved the through hull for the raw water intake for the engine,
and put the new one and proper seacock pretty much directly under the
raw water strainer, thereby avoiding the long hose run over the top of
the engine.

Happy Spring to all!

Hi Dan,

Great picts... thanks.

Does your fuel supply for the genset run thru the filter boss?

Yup, sure does. The plumbing is as follows:

1. Tanks to three-way tank selection valve (feed).
2. Tank selection valve (feed) to Filter Boss.
3. Filter Boss to check valve
4. Check valve to T-Fitting.
5. T-Fitting to Engine & Genset.
6. Engine & Genset returns to three-way tank selection valve (return).
7. Tank selection valve (return) back to tanks.

We're still toying with adding a bypass valve after the check valve but
before the t-fitting going to the engine/genset so as to allow us to polish
fuel, or simply move fuel from one tank to another, through the filter.
That will make an already complicated setup that much more complicated, but
I think it could be really useful. I'll let everyone know how we decide to
play it.

Where did you pickup the filter boss?

From the company directly.  Don't have the site handy, but Google Filter Boss and you'll find it easy enough.
