great attitude about wear and tear and maintenance and design elements
that may need beefing up. I hope to have the time and where with all
to sail Mistral to HI some day...I would leave her there for a spell
to have an island get away though! The good news is, my wife just took
delivery of an Oceanis 37 so we have a great cruising vessel here as
well. We are just trying to figure out whether Mistral goes to CA or
HI, Family or Paradise???

I was up the mast today running a new halyard, lubricating shive blocks, re-taping , etc.
As I was lowered to the top port spreader... oops! The top port spreader is cracked at the attach fitting... double oops!
I talked it over with my friend at CSR in Seattle, who was one of the crew members on the race. We're scratching our heads...
We'll pull the mast on the 13th and replace broken parts and inspect the entire rig. I'll report my findings and Beneteau's response.
