inverter

Dear members,

We had a great sail this weekend to coecles on shelter island. The
only problem that we had was with the elect motor for the dinghy. We
could not get the inverter to work to charge the battery. I am sure
that it is my old age. We have a panel above the cd player. I know
that I have to shift and switch to inverter. I cannot remember which
other switches to change. There is a remote that should light up and a
button to activate the inverter. The problem is that I do not get a
light on the remote. The charger is a truecharger 40. If you can help
please do before I try all the alternatives.

I think all of us have unique or different set-ups on inverters.
You might want to post an image, to see if others have a similar set
up.
