Alpoim surname - S. Miguel

Hi,

Has anyone been able to connect Alpoim ancestors from Agua Retorta/Faia da Terra to any of Estevão Rodrigues de Alpoim's children?

Diogo Correia, baptized in Fail da Terra on July 30, 1656, was the son of Joao Correia and Maria de Alpoim:

He married Maria da Costa, where my matrilineal line ends. With a name as common as Maria da Costa, I cannot go any further with baptism records only.

By contrast, Alpoim is uncommon, so If anyone has more information on this surname in the island of Sao Miguel beyond what is listed in Rodrigo Rodrigues' book, whether through confession rolls or wills, please let me know.
