Does anyone have the Genealogy book, Genealogias das Quatro Ilhas by Antonio Ornelas Mendes and Jorge Forjaz who could do a look up for me.  I am trying to find the parents of Agueda Tomas who died in Madalena Pico on 30 Apr 1668.  She was the wife of Antonio Rocha and the mother of Maria Rodrigues who married Pedro Rodrigues Luis on 24 May 1666.  Thanks, Herb

Hello Herb,
On FamilySearch, Antônio Rodrigues Filho and Maria de Medeiros appear as Águeda's parents. They were married on September 30, 1630, in Santa Bárbara, Faial.

Thank you very much for the tip  Aurelio. I will look into it. I don't readily see a connection to Agueda, just a marriage of Antonio Rodrigues and Mariq de Meseiros. I do know that Agueda had a daughter named Maria Rodrigues who married on 24 May 1666 in Madalena Pico and the record says Agueda and her husband Antonio Rocha were " "todos fregueses de Santa Maria Magdalena".

Okay.
FamilySearch records indicate that Antônio Rodrigues was a native of Madalena, Pico, Azores, born around 1600.
The list of children also includes a daughter named "Agada," born in February 1634 in Cedros, Faial.
Antônio's FamilySearch ID is L7Y9-JHT; perhaps by looking at the attached information, you can find more details.

Thank you very much for taking the time to point me toward this information. I see it under the ID number now. I really appreciate it Aurelio, and it certainly gives me some interesting leads to pursue. Unfortunately, for my genealogical research I need to be able to support the information with original records or other reliable documentation before I can incorporate it into family history. Nevertheless, this gives me a valuable direction for further research, and I’m grateful that you shared it with me.
