Olá, can anyone please help confirm that this is an accurate translation of my 3x great-grandfather's baptism? Muito obrigado.  José, son of Antonio Jose Thomaz and Isabel Maria, residents of Lagedo; grandson on the paternal side of Jose Francisco Thomaz and Anna de Jesus, and on the maternal side of Joao de Freitas Escobar and Maria de Jesus, residents of Lagedo, natives and parishioners of the Parish of Nossa Senhora dos Milagres, of the said parish of Lagedo, of this Island Flores, born on the fifteenth day of October, in the year one thousand eight hundred and fifty-four. He was baptized in the Mother Church of Nossa Senhora do Rosario in the absence of the parish priest... by me, who acts in his stead, on the twenty-sixth day of the said month and year. The godfather was Joao Lourenco Bispo, for whom I made this record, which I shall sign. The curate/vicar Joao Pimentel Freitas. Page 89, bottom left page - José, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am not a native speaker so I had to look up "faço as suas vezas" to find you correctly translated as  "act in his stead" so I think it is a thorough and accurate translation.  One exception: I think the baptism date is 22 instead of 26.
