Hi All, 

Does anyone in this group have a hard copy of the GENEALOGIAS DE S. MIGUEL E SANTA MARIA - Rodrigo Rodrigues edition from 2008 (it has 6 volumes)?

I need the photo of about 4-5 pages for a personal genealogy study I'm working on. I see this edition is available in 2 libraries in the USA, but on the other side of the coast from where I live.

They did the one printing in 2008 and that was all. You have to check WorldCat.org to see if any library (that puts their holdings in WorldCat) has a copy.

In addition to the two libraries you mention, WorldCAT also lists Toronto Public Library and the Fresno State Library at California State University Fresno.

Looks like the volumes they have at CSU Fresno were a Gift from Vasco Alves Cordeiro, President of the Regional Government of the Azores in 2019.

Bill, I believe the link you provided says the closest library to Toronto that holds a copy of RR's work, is located in Lowell. Mass. Unfortunately, I cannot ascertain if the Toronto Public Library system does in fact hold a copy of RR's six volume work. The system is down due to a cyber attack. I will monitor the restoration of services, and hopefully it will be up soon. I also checked the University of Toronto library system, and the search came up empty. This is strange to me, since, when the first volume of RR appeared it was in the University Library. I will run another check at York Univesity.

Well, the title of this thread is "Genealogias de S. Miguel e Santa Maria" by Rodrigo Rodrigues. You posted a picture of a book titles "Familias da Ilha Terceira" by Francisco Ferreira D'Ormonde and Dona Barbara Gato. So no, it's not the same book.

I see that the "Biblioteca Pública e Arquivo Regional João José da Graça" in Açores has a digitalization service and the book is also there https://bparjjg.azores.gov.pt/recursos-disponiveis-biblioteca/

Have any of you used this service? I'm assuming it is only for locals or maybe Portuguese citizens?

Hopefully the last update on this:

1) I was able to transfer the volume I needed from CSU Fresno to Southern CA

2) The açores library got back to me, and they indeed do the digitalization of any page I need. They require an international money transfer tho.
