Hi,

How is the location:  'Flores, Acores, Aveiro, Portugal’  different from  'Flores, Acores, Portugal' a distinction I found in an address on  Ancestry.com?  Thanks in advance for any info.

It's someone on Ancestry who doesn't know what they are doing. They don't understand the organization in Portugal or the Azores.

Flores is an island in the Azores that is an autonomous region of Portugal. So it could be written as Flores, Azores, Portugal.

Aveiro is a city in the council (county) of Aveiro in the country of Portugal. So it's just Aveiro, Portugal or Aveiro, Aveiro, Portugal.

It's kinda like writing San Juan, Puerto Rico, California. Makes no sense to an American. Someone on Ancestry doesn't understand how the Portuguese organization works.
