BuddhaFlix and Thanksgiving...

Hello, sangha!

Hope this message finds you well, happy and peaceful. Just wanted to tune you into a couple of upcoming events:

BuddhaFlix: our next Buddhist movie night will be this Saturday, 11/21. We'll be watching "Departures", the 2009 Academy Award winner for Best Foreign Language Film about an out of work cellist who returns to his hometown to work in a funeral home. It’s loosely based on Aoki Shinmon's autobiographical book Coffinman: The Journal of a Buddhist Mortician. The trailer can be seen here:

The evening will start with a meal at 7pm (menu TBD). The movie begins @ 8. Bring your own non-alcoholic beverage of choice and join us in the zendo! 

Thanksgiving: AZC will be hosting a Thanksgiving Day brunch at 11am on...Thanksgiving Day! Bring a favorite dish to share and celebrate the holiday with Dharma friends! Post-meal revelry will include an outing to a matinee or some other ridiculously fun activity!
