Hi There,
My name is Jacquelyn Marker and I am one of the Co-founders of a music and film festival called Music Video Race.
This September, Music Video Race will be coming to Austin for the first time ever and we absolutely can't wait! We've just wrapped our third sold out event in San Francisco and are excited to bring the party to Austin.
What is Music Video Race?
Music Video Race, randomly pairs the finest emerging talent from the worlds of music and film to create all-new music videos in one weekend. The following weekend, there's a huge bash where all videos are premiered, select participating bands play live sets, and a panel of judges award teams with top honors and prizes.
The purpose of MVR is to engage and intersect the creative communities and encourage them to build something together.
The Austin Filming weekend will take place on Sep 5-7. The following weekend, (September 14th), the Austin premiere party will take place at Empire Control Room and Garage.
Judges include SXSW Music Festival Programmer, Lizzy Newton, Devolver co-founder, Mike Wilson,Alamo Drafthouse Programmer, Tommy Swenson, and KUTX's Austin Music Minute host, Laurie Gallardo.
We're limiting spots to a max of 15 teams this year so we're encouraging folks to sign up here if interested.
