Are you a social scientist interested in the social worlds of climate change and decarbonisation? This is an opportunity to join an international and multidisciplinary research team based at Deakin University as a Research Fellow. The Research Fellow will lead new qualitative and ethnographic research addressing the critical social and environmental issues of decarbonisation and the energy transition. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop research capabilities and conduct extended fieldwork in northern Australia.
- Based at our Melbourne, Burwood Campus with long periods spent in Darwin
- Part-time (0.8FTE) and fixed-term until 8 December 2028
Selection criteria include: PhD in Anthropology or Geography and/or other relevant qualifications and experience; Emerging reputation in research and scholarship through publications; Experience conducting ethnographic or qualitative research, including interviews, participant observation, fieldwork, and qualitative data analysis; Research experience relating to the energy transition, decarbonisation, climate change, environmental management, or related social and environmental issues.
