2002 Audi A4 1.8T

Gents,
I just purchased the above mentioned car and would like to know what
all things I should watch out for and what are the things which can go
bad. Any help would be appreciated.

It has 35000 miles on the odometer and runs great. List of problems I
had so far.

1) It sometime flashes a warning about the right rear light and i
cannot figure out what is wrong with it.
2) It also did flash a warning about the RIght Dipped light and then,
it was actually not functioning and it all started in one drive through
country side Ohio and got pulled over buy the cops 4 times for it. It
got fixed along with the warning the next morning. This is what which
pissed me off. What is the root cause of this problem and how can i Fix
it?

Any help is greatly appreciated.
