Hey Church family!

The Georgia Missions Project was this past week and I wanted to thank y’all again for your support and update y’all on all we were able to do for the camp!

Grace Farm calls it the Georgia Missions Project because people from all over the country come to serve during this week. It’s through this one week every year that a lot of the camp has been built. It was really cool to get to go serve alongside people that have come to the Georgia Missions Project for years and years not just to help Grace Farm, but also to teach us younger folks skills that we will be able to use to help Grace Farm and other ministries in the future.

There were many projects we were able to start and finish during this week from putting new flooring in bathrooms to painting picnic tables and cabins.

Spending time in God’s Word was also a big part of this week. Our days started with guided quiet time reading our Bibles together outside. There were also sessions twice a day where we learned about how we are called to live as God’s children and what it means to be faithful with what the Lord has given you. Faithfulness was one of the main topics throughout all the lessons and scriptures we talked about this past week. Josiah Coile is one of the main leaders of this ministry and he gave most of the lessons. It’s really important to him that at Grace Farm people don’t just learn that we are saved by grace through faith, but that God also has great plans and purposes for us here on earth.

Josiah Coile also has a podcast on YouTube called Focus Ministries, so if y’all want to further support this ministry feel free to go check that out. He has a lot of good videos addressing often confused scriptures and how to witness to people and topics like those.

Aside from serving Grace Farm, the Georgia Missions Project is meant to help give people  skills that will help them in ministry. A part of how they do this is taking us out witnessing so that we can get more comfortable sharing the gospel. I had never witnessed to someone before, so this was a bit nerve racking but I’m really glad they had us do this. While not everyone responded well to us offering to talk to them about the salvation Jesus has offered us, a lot of people did and there were a lot of brothers and sisters in Christ who were really encouraging when they saw us out sharing the good news.

There is a lot more I’d like to say about this week, but I thought I should tell y’all about the parts that were most powerful to me. Thank you all again for your support both financially and through prayer. This Ministry wouldn’t be possible if it wasn’t for people like y’all!

Also, this is a slideshow from this week if y’all want a glimpse of what it was like:

With much gratitude,
In Christ,
Maggie McTavish
