Don Camillo and Peppone are among the classics of the comic film of Italian production. Unfortunately, there is no homage to this cinema highlight in the otherwise excellent National Cinema Museum of Turin, which is not only reminiscent of the German cinema classic Metropolis from the outside. Long queues form in front of the museum, especially on Sundays and public holidays, which is why it makes sense to book in advance. Due to the Corona protective measures, the number of simultaneous visitors is currently limited. The cinema museum does not claim to be complete, but tells the history of cinema in terms of technology and content in impressive presentations. That is why cameras, viewers, production equipment and projectors can be admired as well as the sketches of different genres. And of course international stars from production and acting are not neglected in the portraits. The Pope recently thought about having his own cinema archive. Perhaps he should short-circuit himself with the museum for advice on how to effectively stage the eternal struggle between good and evil, and even give the museum a few tips on the highlights of Italian film.
