Does anyone have a child with AS that is struggling with allergies
this season? My son (9 years) is having a extremely hard time. He is
on medication for his allergies (eye drops included) but I can't seem
to get him to keep his hands out of his eyes. I make sure that he
washes his hands regularly and urge him to stop but he still rubs his
eyes until their red and puffy. Does anyone have any suggestions?

If his eyes are still bothering him I would check back with the prescribing doctor and see about switching allergy medication as it sounds like it isn't working for him.  Did you try benadryl?
Do you know what he is allergic to and do you minimize outside time and use AC? I am sure it is hard esp if he has SID too.
You might consult a naturopath too. I came across this today, might help too:

Thanks for the web link. I have also been looking into some other
natural remedies suggested by family and friends (ex: Noni Juice and
Vibe Liquid Vitamins). There's so many options out there for natural
remedies, it's hard to decide. Some good news is, he's been doing a
lot better for the past few days. Maybe it was allergies after all.
