Vincent Price portrays Shakespearean actor Edward Lionheart, who seeks revenge on the critics whom he believes kept him from winning a prestigious award. He bases his murder plans on scenes from Shakespeare’s plays. His victims are portrayed by some of England’s best character actors, including Robert Morley, Robert Coote, Michael Hordern, and Coral Brown. Diana Riggs plays Price’s daughter and co-conspirator.
“The crowning glory of Vincent Price’s career.” Empire Magazine “Price's Richard III is enough on its own to make the film worthwhile.” Time Out
(Directed by Douglas Hickox, Great Britain, 1973, min., color, Rated R)
