Saturday Sept. 27 / 5-8 pm
at Artefactory:Baltimore / 827 N Howard St. (Antique Row)
Presenting a retrospective of William Wright, self taught artist calling Baltimore home for over 20 years. Drawing inspiration from painting masters of the early 20th century, he creates a succinct juxtaposition between then and now, melding the old with the new; Cubism on discarded vinyl, a Dada-esque assemblage of found/flattened car exhaust parts, to the eerily Surrealist compositions and portraits of modern musicians like David Bowie, David Byrne, or other pop icons such as David Lynch.
Artefactory Baltimore is a studio/gallery featuring local artists. Made by humans: printmaking, sculpture, furniture, paintings, jewelry, household accoutrements. Materials include used and discarded objects, recycled as well as new objects/mediums.
Open for art receptions or by appointment.
