Calling HTX Painters of All Skill Levels!

The Texas Medical Center (TMC) is pleased to announce that applications for the annual Adirondack Chair Art Contest are now open! We invite artists of all skill levels from Houston to transform Adirondack chairs into stunning works of art. Your time and talent will turn these chairs into a public art installation that enriches TMC Helix Park with creativity and community spirit, symbolizing a place where everyone is welcome.

• Location: TMC Helix Park, Houston, Texas
• Date of Event: October 25th, 2024
• Application Deadline: 5 p.m. on August 23, 2024

How to Apply:

1. Complete the Application: Download and complete the application form attached here. 
2. Submit Your Design: Email your application, concept statement, and a draft of your proposed chair design to tmcevent@tmc.edu by 5 p.m. on Friday, August 23, 2024.
3. Notification: You will be notified via email in September 2024 if you’ve been selected to paint a chair.
4. Supplies Provided: TMC will provide the chair and all necessary supplies for painting.
