August 16th: Midtown Artist in Residency #2
The Midtown Artist in Residency Program supports one emerging or mid-career Houston artist through a four-month, in-person residency from October 2026 through January 2027. The selected artist will receive 24/7 access to a private office-suite workspace, a $20,000 stipend, professional documentation support, marketing and promotional support from Midtown’s in-house team, access to Midtown’s cultural partners, a featured presentation at a Cultural Arts Mixer, and a culminating public presentation at the conclusion of the residency

September 13th: Call for Creatives: National Arts and Humanities Month Midtown Sign Wrap 
Midtown Houston Cultural Arts and Entertainment District is seeking artists and or graphic designers to create a unique design or artwork honoring National Arts and Humanities month. August 7th: RFQ Arts District Houston Newspaper Stand Mini Mural Project
Arts District Houston (ADHou), managed by Fresh Arts, invites Houston area artists to submit qualifications to design and paint two existing newspaper stands as original public artworks. Two artists will be selected, with each artist commissioned to transform one newspaper stand into a hand-painted mini mural. Upon completion, the newspaper stands will be permanently installed at two new locations in the Arts District

August 14th: The Queer|Art Design Grant ($10,000)
The Queer|Art Design Grant is a new initiative supporting projects that explore queer histories, legacies, and futures. The program will award two $10,000 USD grants to emerging queer creatives across the design industry. The Queer|Art Design Grant provides critical support to US-based designers working across a variety of disciplines, including graphic design, architecture/landscape architecture, industrial/product design, fashion/textile/wearables, digital design, service design, furniture/home decor, materials research, interior design, and more.

August 17th: Teacher Advisory Group for the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston
The 2026-27 Teacher Advisory Group (TAG) will provide strategic recommendations, support in writing exhibition-specific materials, and advocate for CAMH programs within their classrooms, schools, and community. CAMH will offer each member of TAG an advance opportunity to learn more about upcoming exhibitions, programs, and have behind-the-scenes experiences at the Museum.

August 10th: Dance Source Houston 2026-27 Artists In Residence
Dance Source Houston's Artist-in-Residence program is open to Greater Houston dance artists of all genres. Artists for 2026/2027 will be selected based upon their desire to push themselves and their work to new levels by taking risks and maximizing their time in the residency. The residency will culminate with performances of new work created during Barnstorm Dance Fest in April 2027. A maximum of two artists will be selected for the AIR cohort.
