A New RFQ for Texas Artists: Northbelt Public Safety Complex
A new RFQ for Texas artists is open! The City of Houston Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs is requesting qualifications from individual artists and artist teams who are interested in having their work featured at the new North Belt Public Safety Complex. Two original art pieces will be commissioned and added to the City’s civic art collection, including an interior mural and an exterior 3D art piece.
Preference and priority will be given to artists not currently represented in the City’s civic art collection. The RFQ submission deadline is February 14, 2022 at 11:59 PM CST. Get more info at the link below and share this opportunity with an artist who may be interested.

New RFQ for Houston Artists: IAH Mickey Leland International Terminal
The City of Houston Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs released a request for qualifications (RFQ) for 2D art to be featured at the George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH). The RFQ is open to artists and artist-teams living or working in the Greater Houston Area. The work of the selected artist(s) will be added to the City’s civic art collection and featured at six new gates at the Mickey Leland International Terminal at IAH.
Preference and priority will be given to artists not currently represented in the City’s civic art collection. The RFQ submission deadline is February 8, 2022 at 11:59 PM CST. Get more info at the link below and spread the word about this exciting opportunity.

Houston Arts Alliance is searching for artists, educators, leaders and professionals from all sectors to help assess grant and public art applications! Panelists play critical roles in these competitions and influence which artists and organizations get awarded city-funded grants and public art. We encourage community members of diverse backgrounds to join us.
As a panelist you will receive a $200 honorarium and be asked to review and score 20-40 applications over a three-week period. Your participation in a virtual session with other panelists will also be requested. Will you help us serve the Houston arts community? Apply to become a panelist today.
