Greetings of knowledge, culture, achievement, and history,

We extend our sincere greetings to you, and through you, to the friendly Irish people, as well as to the free peoples of the world who have stood with the Palestinian people in their historic struggle.

History has shown that the Irish and Palestinian peoples share a common human spirit and a parallel experience of resilience. Though geography separates them, their values, aspirations, and commitment to dignity remain united.

We are honored to inform you that the Executive Council of the Arab Translators Association (ARTA) has decided to honor you with an Honorary Doctorate, in recognition of your intellectual and humanitarian journey, and your distinguished role in advocating for justice, freedom, and human rights.

This recognition is not only a tribute to your esteemed person, but also to the noble Irish people and the universal values you represent.

Is mór an onóir dúinn a chur in iúl duit go bhfuil Bord Feidhmiúcháin Cumann Aistritheoirí na nArabach (ARTA) tar éis cinneadh a dhéanamh Dochtúireacht Oinigh a bhronnadh ort, mar aitheantas ar do shaol intleachtúil agus daonnúil, agus ar do ról suntasach i gcur chun cinn ceartais, saoirse, agus cearta an duine.

Ní hamháin gur ómós duit féin é an gradam seo, ach is ómós é freisin do mhuintir uasal na hÉireann agus do na luachanna uilíocha a seasann tú dóibh.

نحييكم، ونحيي من خلالكم الشعب الإيرلندي الصديق، كما نحيي شعوب العالم الحر التي وقفت إلى جانب الشعب الفلسطيني في محنته التاريخية.

لقد أثبت التاريخ أن الشعبين الإيرلندي والفلسطيني يجمعهما وجدان إنساني مشترك، وتجربة نضالية متقاربة، حتى وإن فرّقت بينهما الجغرافيا، فإن القيم، والآمال، والكرامة الإنسانية، تظل واحدة.

يسعدنا أن نُبلغكم بأن المجلس التنفيذي لـجمعية المترجمين العرب (ARTA) قد قرر تكريمكم ومنحكم الدكتوراه الفخرية، تقديرًا لمسيرتكم الفكرية والإنسانية، ولدوركم البارز في الدفاع عن العدالة، والحرية، وحقوق الإنسان.

إن هذا التكريم لا يقتصر على شخصكم الكريم، بل هو تكريم للشعب الإيرلندي النبيل، وللقيم الإنسانية التي تمثلونها أمام العالم.
