Hi

I imported land use data for Africa from the GLCC database (USGS, http://edc2.usgs.gov/glcc/glcc.php).
I can´t find the land cover types (e.g. 'Savanna' and 'Barren or Sparsely Vegetated') among the incorporated land cover types in ArcSWAT.
Can it be right that the land cover types that I downloaded isn´t a part of the incorporated land types in ArcSwat (USGS LULC and NLCD 1992)?
Does any body know where to find the specifications for those land cover types, so that I can edit the land cover types my selves?

Below I listed the needed land cover types:
Dryland Cropland and Pasture
Cropland/Woodland Mosaic
Grassland
Shrubland
Savanna
Barren or Sparsely Vegetated

If you download MWSWAT or MWSWAT 2009 from www.waterbase.org, then you will find the information you want in the crop table of the reference database in C:\Program Files\MapWindow\Plugins\MWSWAT[2009]\Databases\SWAT[2005\2009].mdb

Hi Monica

Just follow the directions given in the earlier post by Chris. There you will find an expanded land cover database containing new classes such as savanna, grassland, shrublands etc.
All the best
