A.B.Yehoshua is one of Israel’s leading fiction writers. One remarkable aspect of his literary enterprise is his sustained willingness to experiment with different literary modes. Amongst his most acclaimed original books are a historical novel Mr. Mani and Journey to the End of Millennium. His works have been translated into 28 languages and ten of his works have been adapted to film, television, theatre and opera. A.B. Yehoshua has received numerous distinguished awards, amongst them the Israel Prize (1995), the Israeli Booker Prize (1992) and he holds honorary doctorates from several universities in Israel and abroad.

 

THE LECTURE THIS THURSDAY IS DEDICATED TO THE MEMORY OF THE LATE PROFESSOR MIICHAEL SALTMAN WHO WAS A COLLEAGUE OF AB YEHOSHUA AT HAIFA UNIVERSITY.
