Good news for journalists

We congratulate Dr. Khaled Fawaz Zaarour on his appointment as Minister of Information in Syria. We also congratulate his father, Dr. Fawaz Zaarour, and congratulate the Syrian people on this appointment, wishing him success and prosperity in serving media, culture, and the free word.
It is worth mentioning that the Arab Translators Association (ARTA) had previously honored Dr. Khaled Fawaz Zaarour and his father, Dr. Fawaz Zaarour, who has been considered one of the pillars of the Association for decades. Dr. Fawaz Zaarour is also the writer of the famous poem “Al-Kumait Al-Aghar” about Amer Al Azem.

نباركُ للدكتور خالد فواز زعرور تعيينَه وزيراً للإعلام في سوريا، ونباركُ لوالدِه الدكتور فواز زعرور، ونباركُ للشعب السوري هذا التعيين، متمنّينَ له التوفيقَ والنجاحَ في خدمة الإعلام والثقافة والكلمة الحرّة.
ومن الجدير بالذكر أنّ جمعيةَ المترجمين العرب (ARTA) كانت قد كرّمت الدكتور خالد فواز زعرور ووالدَه الدكتور فواز زعرور، الذي يُعدّ أحدَ أعمدةِ الجمعية منذ عقودٍ. كما أنّ الدكتور فواز زعرور هو كاتبُ القصيدةِ الشهيرةِ «الكميت الأغر» في عامر العظم.
