2010 Sailing Alumni Regatta

The 2010 UCI Sailing Alumni Regatta is officially canceled. With more replies of people not being able to come than signups it has been decided to pull the plug.
Please mark your calendars for the 2011 date of March 11-13. As always the racing will be on Saturday with activities planned for Friday night and Sunday for those in town. The 2011 Alumni regatta will also mark the 45th Anniversary of the UCI Sailing Team’s inception. We would love to commemorate this by helping the current team acquire a new fleet of boats and sails, which coincidentally has been quoted at $45,000. This will be a great opportunity to leave a lasting legacy for the team. More details about the regatta, the availability of naming rights for the boats and other alumni events will be available starting this summer so stay tuned.
In the mean time the team is gearing up for 3 PCCSC Championship events and hopefully a trip to the Spring Nationals. With Coed PCC’s in Hawaii, the ICSA Semi Finals in the Northwest or Charleston and the ICSA Nationals in Madison Wisconsin the team is going to need help with travel plans. If you have frequent flyer miles or airline ticket vouchers that you could donate they would certainly appreciate it. Maybe you or someone who know lives near one of the sailing sites and can help with housing or ground transportation, even donating $50 to help with food and gas will be appreciated.
