Stopword list (Question)

Hello! I am a student and for a project i need to do, i want to make a frequency list (in the Word section). The words "the, and, I" etc, i would like to remove from that list. According to google its possible, but I dont know how. On MacOS, there is something called "Tool preferences", this does not exist on my laptop (windows 10, Antconc 4).

Could someone please help me, and explain step-by-step how i can make a stopword list or add one and remove those said words from the original list?

Hi Manuel,

The easiest way to ignore words is via the Global Settings->Tool Filters option, where you can add a stop list. See the help page for more information.

Good evening Laurence,

First of all thank you for the fast response! This is what i tried:

Open notepad, write down the words that come up often (literally with only one space between them), save this, add it to the 'hide words' list. After pressing apply, nothing changes. The words still show up in my list/wordcloud etc. The Help.pdf also does not show how to do this, but just tells me i can do this.

Is there anyway i could get a step-by-step manual on how to fix this?
