Large Likelihood Values

Dear all, Dr Anthony

I have been getting very large likelihood values for both my Keyword and Collocate analyses. I'm using LogDice which I thought had a theoretical maximum of 14, yet I'm getting scores in the '000's. Could this just be a reflection of my data or is it a problem with my settings? I've included a screenshot below of my collocate settings and the results, any advice is appreciated.

Actually, I think I've just realised something (sorry, stats is not something I'm comfortable with). Am I correct in thinking that the LogDice setting is reflected in the effect score rather than the likelihood score? If so, my highest score of 6.9 in the attached screenshot is indeed well below the threshold of 14.

Hi Carla,

Yes, you're right. LogDice is an effect size measure. If you use that, you'll probably want to change the sort option to sort by effect size instead of keyness value.
